For just over a year our church of St Peter’s in Aldborough Hatch has had a team of ladies who have volunteered their time and efforts to make our Community Memorial Garden a truly beautiful place to sit and enjoy a little peace and quiet.
One of the things I love is social media. Facebook and Twitter especially. There we see the views of all walks of life over the whole world.
There were many occasions during our childhood when my brother and I would squabble or fight over some game or toy and maybe cry: “It’s not fair” or “Mummy, make him give me that, it’s mine”. The response we got depended upon the parental mood at the time.
What do we make of the Notre Dame fire, with the drama of the cross shining untouched inside the charred building?
All around us people seem to be worried about the cost of things, everything seems to be going up.
