The Mayor of Redbridge is hosting a music festival in Wanstead to try and raise money for her nominated charity.
Councillor Debbie Kaur-Thiara has organised the festival that will showcase a range of musical acts spanning from classical performances to Carribean steal drumming to raise money for ELHAP - the adventure playground in Woodford Green that is specially built for children and young people with disabilities.
The centre is one of only eight specialist adventure playgrounds in the UK, with climbing frames, ziplines, and plenty of outdoor challenges.
The festival will take place in Christchurch Park, on Saturday, September 15 from 1pm till 6pm and is free.
There will also be a number of food stalls around the park.
Speaking about the event the mayor said: “It is going to be a brilliant day, I can’t thank everybody enough who has helped to organise this and I am hoping that it can really help to raise the profile of ELHAP which is a wonderful charity.”
