Ilford Wanderers maintained their unbeaten start to the Essex One B season with a 44-7 win over Dagenham.

Wanderers started the scoring from a lineout, with a catch and drive sending Graham Bailey over the line.

The next score had more finesse about it, with Ilford showing fine handling skills, creating a gap for Jason Taylor to touch down.

Wanderers’ line out was in fine form with a dexterous catch from Dave Humphreys leading to the third try for Tom Clancy.

The tries kept coming through a fine break by Bill Davis, before the move was finished off by Cameron Dutch, before Humphreys himself crossed.

Davis and Bailey both scored for Ilford before the break as the hosts led 39-0 at the break.

Dagenham showed great resolve by scoring a try of their own in the second half, but Ilford had the last word with George Onjobi crossing in the corner.
