UPMINSTER under-11s had double reason to cheer after coming out on top at their own club festival.

The Bulls were unbeaten in five games, scoring 16 tries and conceding just three on their way to the B title.

Wins over Bishop's Stortford (15-0), Thames (10-0) and Medway (30-0) sent Bulls into a semi-final against Southend and Upminster came from behind to win 10-5.

The final with Thames was locked at 10-10 before Edward Lewis claimed a late winner for Bulls.

Oliver Lewis, Ryan Potter and Jake Outen scored three tries each on the day, as Fergus O'Mahoney added a brace and Jack Waskett, Sam Taylor, Harry Anderson and Ruairi Redmond also went over.

*Upminster Cougars took the C title following a pair of wins over Old Albanians (25-5 and 35-5).

Charlie Hoddinott opened the scoring, before Daniel Cole ran in a hat-trick of tries.

Charlie Kelly's run on the blind side led to another score in the second half.

Zack Levin's treble led the way in a second outing, with James McLeish also going over before half-time.

McLeish scored twice more in the second half, before Luke Lovell rounded off the tally.

*Upminster fielded a pair of under-6 teams in the under-7 age group competition.

Titans beat Medway (30-10), but lost to Old Albanians (20-15) and Bishop's Stortford (30-15) before beating their clubmates in the Trojans (25-15).

Trojans lost against Albanians (35-30), Stortford (30-15) and Sevenoaks (30-5), but drew with Medway (20-20).

Callum Reardon claimed 10 tries for the Titans, while Isabella Smith shone for the Trojans.

*ROMFORD under-12s battled to a 15-15 draw with Brentwood.

Trailing 15-0 at the break, Park hit back thanks to Seb Adams (2) and Jack Bines to level.

But a second meeting ended in a 40-15 defeat, despite scores by Ellis Haselden, Bines and Adams.

Daniel Glover took the player of the day award for a fine effort at full-back.

Billy Ball converted his own try to put the under-11s ahead in their match, but Brentwood hit back to win 28-7.

A second meeting between the sides ended in a 7-7 draw, with Ball again going over for Park and adding the conversion.

The under-9s overcame their Brentwood counterparts, 15-0, 10-0 and 5-0, as Tauren Henwood scored three times, Jack Worthing added a brace and Billy Davison also touched down.

The under-8s were involved in three high-scoring games, winning 45-25, losing 45-35 and drawing 45-45. Alex Feld (8), Tom Chapman (7), Thain Henwood (4), George Bristow (3), Ross Walters (2) and Ronnie Brooks all scored.

Park's under-16s beat Chingford 36-17, thanks to tries from Michael Lewis (2), George Prendergast (2), Luke Taylor and Alex Burke, and three Stephen Ball conversions.
