A round-up of the latest news from the Thomas McCurtains GAA club

Thomas McCurtains’ camogie team suffered heartbreak in the semi-finals of the All-Britain Intermediate Championship after going down 5-10 to 1-7 against John Mitchels.

At the end of a tight first half in Birmingham, the Goodmayes club were unfortunate to trail 0-6 to 0-3.

However, Mitchels’ class told in the second half as they began to pull away and secure the win.

Despite bowing out of the competition, the camogie squad and the management team of Martin Brennan, Jimmy Byrne, Eoin Kelly and Paddy Coman can be proud of their efforts this term.

Elsewhere, the mens’ football team recorded a fine 4-12 to 0-10 win over St Clarets in AIB London League Division Two.

Conor Murphy scored a brace of goals in the win, while Tom Keane and Paddy Halligan also found the back of the net.

New players are always welcome to join the club. Email to find out more.
