Heart of Oak judo club girls’ team captain Peach James led by example at the London Open, taking two of the squad’s five medals.

The club sent a team of eight to compete against rivals from across the capital at the University of East London’s SportsDock.

James fought on both days of the event, taking a silver medal on day one, followed by a bronze medal in the senior event on day two.

The Anegbeh sisters impressed once more, with Angel and Crystal both taking silvers, while Summer and Mercedes performed to a high standard.

Boys’ team captain Morgan James was another to medal at the event, improving on his previous fifth-place finish to take home a bronze.

Brothers Musa and Dawud Bukhari, meanwhile, continued to demonstrate their potential at the event.

“The season continues to remain impressive and the results speak for themselves,” said Heart of Oak coach Trevor James.
