The latest news from the Heart of Oak club

Heart of Oak members had an Easter weekend packed full of medals after collecting four at the Sportif International Competition held at the University of East London.

The competition was split over two days and attracted competitors from as far afield as Portugal and Canada.

The first day of competition saw the Judoka Espoirs Black Belts event for more experienced competitors take place.

Heart of Oak members Crystal and Angel Anegbeh both took part and claimed bronze medals, despite a step up in the level of competition.

The Anegbeh sisters were also in action on the second day of competition, as was the club’s sole male representative at the event, Morgan James.

Crystal Anegbeh continued her impressive form with a gold medal, while sister Angel took silver to cap a solid weekend for the siblings.

James turned in a series of impressive displays against talented opposition, but was unable to come away with a medal.
