Heart of Oak Judo Club had a squad of 13 athletes in action at the British Schools’ London Regional Championships at UEL.

Khadijah Bukhari and Phoenix Anegbeh claimed silver medals, as Tyler Gordon and Penny Feather rose to the challenge to impress for the club.

Brothers Musa and Dawud Bukhari, Summer Anegbeh, Mikolaj Szczepanik and Peach James all worked hard, while Miseaael Cesaldi, Mercedes Anegbeh and sisters Brigette and Karen Mungo, the girls’ captain, all won through their groups to pick up silver medals.

And the returning Philip Chinwuba and Angel Anegbeh demonstrated positive judo and plenty of fight to come home with gold medals.

Boys captain Hawk James added another silver to the haul, while Crystal Anegbeh had to settle for a bronze as all Heart of Oak medalists ensured their qualification for the National event to be held next year.
