A round-up of the latest news from the Thomas McCurtains GAA club

Thomas McCurtains’ men’s football team are through to the semi-finals of the All-Britain Junior Club Championship after a 2-8 to 0-6 win over Hugh O’Neills on Sunday.

The Goodmayes club travelled up to Birmingham for the clash full of confidence after winning the London Junior Championship earlier in the season.

A goal for Conor Murphy in the first half and a Niall Coffey strike in the second half came at vital times for McCurtains and put them on course for the semi-finals.

At the back, the Macs produced some fine defending to keep O’Neills at bay, including restricting them to just two points in the first half.

McCurtains will face Sean McDermotts of Birmingham in the semi-finals on November 5 at 1.30pm.

With the semi-final venue of Greenford a lot closer to their Goodmayes base, McCurtains are hoping for a good crowd in west London to cheer them into the final.
