Thomas McCurtains’ hurling team are through to the semi-finals of the Ronan Cup after a thrilling one-point win over Fulham Irish on Tuesday.

The hurlers made the trip across London to Wormwood Scrubs for the clash, but it was worthwhile as the Goodmayes club wom 0-9 to 0-8.

McCurtains will meet Granuaille in the semi-finals, with a date and location to be confirmed.

The midweek success for the hurlers was their second in a matter of days after beating Sean Treacy’s 4-17 to 1-10 in a challenge match on Saturday.

McCurtains’ men’s footballers were also in weekend action as they beat Moindearg 2-12 to 1-2 in the London League Division Three.

The Goodmayes club led 1-2 to 0-4 at the break against Moindearg, with Conor Murphy grabbing the goal.

McCurtains continued to dominate the match after the interval, with their second goal a penalty from Paddy Halligan.

The Camogie team began their British League campaign in fine style at the weekend after making a step up in grades over the winter.

McCurtains beat Croydon 2-4 to 1-6, defeated Tara 3-2 to 1-4 and drew 2-4 to 3-1 with John Mitchels.

This weekend is set to be another busy one for the Goodmayes club, with all four senior sides in action,

McCurtains’ women’s footballers are first up at 12.30pm on Saturday when they face Parnells in the Intermediate League in Greenford.

The men’s hurlers, meanwhile, travel to Watford to face St Declan’s at 3pm for their London League Division Two clash.

On Sunday, the camogie team will spend the whole day in Birmingham for their next round of matches in the British League,

And rounding things off, McCurtains men’s footballers face Dulwich Harps at 3.30pm in Peckham Rye in their London League Division Three encounter.
