Thomas McCurtains begin their assault on the All-Britain Junior Football Championship title when they face Hugh O’Neill’s in Birmingham on Sunday.

The Goodmayes club qualified for the national competition after winning the London Junior Championship last month.

A fine display in Rusilip at the end of September saw McCurtains beat Dulwich Harps in the London final, and qualify for the national event in the process.

The Goodmayes club have been drawn against the Yorkshire champions, with the match to take place at Pairc na hEireann at 3pm.

Victory in Birmingham this weekend would of course take McCurtains into the semi-final of the national competition, which will be played later in the year.

New players are always welcome to join the club, with Gaelic football and hurling teams for both men and ladies from under-eights up to adults.

For more information, find the club on Facebook and Twitter, or alternatively email thomasmccurtains@hotmail.com.
