Thomas McCurtains’ camogie team had a mixed weekend in their opening two fixtures of the Mixed League Blitz.

In their first game against Fullen Gaels of Manchester, the Goodmayes club suffered 0-9 to 1-2 defeat.

However, McCurtains recovered to post a 3-2 to 0-5 success over Birmingham’s John Mitchels.

The Goodmayes club also saw their men’s football team record a 3-12 to 1-9 victory over St Joseph’s in their latest fixture in the Murphy Cup group stages.

McCurtains men’s hurling team are in action on Thursday this week as they host Kilburn Gaels B in the London League Division Two at 7pm.

The camogie team, meanwhile, head north to Manchester on Saturday for their next fixtures in the Mixed League Blitz.

Saturday also sees McCurtains host Gaelic football mixed seven-a-side competition, with teams entering comprising of 10 players, including at least two women.
