Redbridge suffer defeat to West Essex

Essex Senior League: Redbridge 0 West Essex 2

Redbridge fell to a third consecutive defeat in all competitions as they loss 2-0 to West Essex.

Goals from Izzy Ogedi-Uzokwe and substitute Michael Mignot sealed the three points for the visitors at the Oakside Stadium.

The result meant Ricky Eaton’s side slipped to 16th in the Essex Senior League while West Essex moved up to 11th in the table.

Ogedi-Uzokwe opened the scoring in the 19th minute as he slotted home the ball to put his side 1-0 up.

They held onto the lead until half-time and then Mignot who returned to the squad for the match from parent club Barking came off the bench and netted in the 94th minute to make it 2-0.
