Redbridge showed real fight to battle back from 2-0 down to earn a point against Enfield at the Harlow Arena.

The hosts led at the break thanks to a Newby-Harris effort late on in the first half and when Johnson bundled home a second for the hosts it looked like game over.

But The Motormen immediately reduced the arrears when joint-manager and midfielder Joe May nodded in a rebound.

With time running out the visitors snatched an unlikely point when a ball to the back post saw Asher Modeste convert, meaning the visitors have drawn their opening two games of the season.

The hosts would have been disappointed not to hold onto their lead after suffering a defeat on the opening day of the season.

Ricky Eaton’s side will now take on Eastern Counties League Premier Division side Long Melford in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup as they look to bag £1,500 in prize money and progress into the next round.
