Redbridge came crashing out of the FA Vase as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Coggeshall Town in their replay.

The Motormen got themselves off to a strong start and took a 1-0 lead early on but were pegged by the hosts who went on to score three and seal their place in the next round at West Street.

The two sides drew 2-2 on Saturday at Oakside and had to face enough again last night with the eventual winners Cogeshall progressing on to face Enfield.

Lindisphi Mtyanda got his side off to a flyer as he slotted home to put the visitors 1-0 up after just eight minutes.

Redbridge held strong until the hosts found their break on the stroke of half-time when they netted the equaliser.

The second-half got off to a slow start, but Coggeshall’s Nwachuku netted in the 61st minute to give his side the lead.

He then went on to score another from the spot in the 83rd minute to seal the victory.

Redbridge now host Hullbridge Sports in the Essex Senior League on Saturday.
