Ross: We need some luck

Redbridge’s poor form continued with another defeat at Chatham in Ryman One North on Saturday.

And despite a spirited performance in the 2-1 loss joint boss Dave Ross was left to rue yet another missed opportunity.

Ross felt the scoreline was somewhat harsh on his side, who had to play extra time in the FA Cup at Sudbury in midweek and then found two goals down at half time at the weekend.

He said: “Going in 2-0 at half time we were desperately unlucky.

“We came out second half and throughly deserved our goal, but it came too late.”

Brian Moses replied for Motormen on 81 minutes, but it was only a consolation for the rebuilt squad.

Ross added: “It’s a new team, it takes time to build.

“But we need some luck our way, the rub of the green isn’t going for us.”

Redbridge had conceded in the final minute of extra time at Sudbury and tiredness, plus injuries, is putting a strain on the squad.

“We’ve had loads of games and we’re suffering at the minute,” added Ross, who takes his side to Romford on Wednesday.
