Redbridgejoint-manager Ricky Eaton expects a tough match against new boys Basildon United this evening.

The Motormen play host to the undefeated outfit as they look to bounce back from three defeats in a row at Oakside(7.45pm kick-off).

Eaton admits it’s going to be a tough week for his side as they also face FC Romania at home this weekend.

“They’ve (Basildon) ad a really good start to the season, I think they’ve won all their games previously and the same for FC Romania, the only blip they have on their record so far is a draw in the FA Cup.

“The two teams are really on fire.

“It’s going to be really hard for us, so we’ve got to pick ourselves up and drag us through it and just keep on fighting.”

The boss also admits Basildon are an unknown quality, but knows they’ll be a good side from the little they know.

“We don’t know anything about them, they’ve come from the Olympian league, a lot of their managers, coaches and players, and we know a few of them from previous seasons.

“Ashley Blackburn just signed down there I believe, so we know a couple of their players, but not lots to be honest.”
