Jacob Ranson gives his thoughts on the O’s performance yesterday.
Legzdins 5- Didn’t really get a foothold in the game as both Peterborough’s shots on target managed to beat him. He fumbled the ball a few times off corners and bounces.
Cuthbert 6- Good game for the defender. Still a lot more comfortable in the centre than at right back but made some good runs forward and always battles hard.
Clarke 5- Got stuck in but little came from it. Poor delivery up the pitch but got better as the game went on.
Lowry 6- Another decent performance, winning his challenges and headers but didn’t look as comfortable as recent performances have shown.
Sawyer 7- Solid performance at left back played well going forward and came back to defend well.
Pritchard 6– Worked hard, but not as effective out wide as when played in the centre, giving the ball away a few times. Got into the box a few times once resulting in Orient sole goal.
Vincelot 6- Hard working display from the Frenchman but let himself down a few times with his final pass but always battles on to win the ball.
Wright 6- Good display as always made himself an option around the pitch and switched the play well with some good balls across the field.
McAnuff 5- Great first 10 minutes from winger with some electric runs but he then disappeared as the game went on. Didn’t deliver or get on the ball much in the second half.
Cox 6- Adjusted well to a different position behind the striker. Great effort and enthusiasm as always but was let down a bit with his final ball.
Batt 7- First goal of the season with a good, instinctive finish. He had a good first touch and held the ball up well. Moved the ball out wide nicely and worked tirelessly.
Simpson 5- Come on for Batt didn’t really make the impact they were looking for when down 2-1 but don’t think the former Arsenal striker was fully fit.
Adeboyejo 6- Great chance for the youngster making his first team debut and almost scored late on.
