Ilford manager Allan Fenn praises FC Romania ahead of their encounter this evening.

The Foxes will travel to Cheshunt Stadium to face the Essex Senior League favourites (7.45pm kick-off) and are hoping to change their midweek fortunes.

The club has suffered four mid week defeats this season, despite winning majority of their weekend fixtures.

“The three years I’ve been at Ilford they’re the best footballing side we have played against.

“They have made some good new signings as well and they have the likes of Toby Cleaver and Florin Pop scoring goals for fun for them.

“We have made some good signings ourselves in the last week.”

Fenn also admitted it’s a big game and he is determined to change their mid week record this season.

“It’s a big game for both teams,” he admitted.

“They lost 3-2 on Saturday to a couple late goals, so they’ll be wanting to get back on track.

“Am I confident yes and no, if the boys play like they can then yes.

“No, if we turn up like we have the last four midweek games.

“It’s a record that we really want to sort out and change.”
