Essex Senior League: Bowers 3 Ilford 3

Ilford had to settle for a point after both sides finished with 10 men in a six-goal thriller at the Len Salmon Stadium.

Beaten 4-0 at Clapton in midweek, the Foxes gained the upper hand when Chris Lockwood and Junior Odegi-Uzodule struck in quick succession to put them two goals to the good.

But Bowers hit back with a brace of their own to level before the break.

Boss Martin Haywood made three changes in the second half, with Luke McDonald, Gavin Hinds-Cadette and Joe Pattison all coming on.

But the visitors saw Lockwood sent off before Hinds-Cadette put them 3-2 up.

Bowers also had a player dismissed, but the home side had the final say with an equalising goal to ensure honours finished even.

Ilford: Sole (Pattison), Graves, Cavalier, Adebayo, Powell, Brien (Hinds-Cadette), Hill, Cowan (McDonald), Sole, Odedi-Uzobule, Lockwood.
