Foxes manager looks to build on last night’s 1-1 draw at Tower Hamlets

Ilford boss Allan Fenn admits they need to find their ‘A’ game when they host FC Romania in the Essex Senior League on Saturday.

Foxes chief Fenn was so disappointed with their efforts in the 3-0 loss to Greenhouse London last Wednesday that he cancelled their Christmas party at the weekend.

But after their 1-1 draw at Tower Hamlets last night, Fenn was eager for his side to raise their game against a Romania outfit which currently occupy third spot in the table.

“They had a great run in FA Cup earlier in the year and they are a very good side,” said Fenn.

“One or two people have told me they have a problem with their discipline at times, but we will need to show our ‘A’ game at the weekend if we are to get anything from it.”

Bradley Joseph put the Foxes in front last night, however, the hosts pegged them back to force a share of the spoils.

As a result, Ilford moved up to fifth in the table with 30 points from their 20 games, though the teams directly below them – Clapton, Newham and Bowers & Pitsea – have games in hand.
