A brace for Jacob Dingli helped Redbridge earn bragging rights over local rivals Barkingside with a 4-2 home win in the Essex Senior League.

Side had won the previous meeting between the two 1-0 in August, but it was the Motormen who took the lead this time around through Dingli, who netted after just two minutes.

The Oakside Stadium outfit then doubled their lead 15 minutes later when Dingli nabbed his second goal of the evening.

With 12 minutes remaining in the half, Barkingside drew one back through Charlie Portway, but with no further goals before the interval, Redbridge ended the first half 2-1 up.

However, the Cricklefields Stadium club restored parity in the 63rd minute when substitute Arnest Okoa scored the first goal of the second period.

It seemed to spark the Motormen back into life as less than a minute later they regained the lead through Sean Kettle.

The win was sealed in the final minute of the match when Aron Gordon netted to give the Oakside Stadium club their first league win in three matches.
