Dagenham & Redbridge: Charlee Adams says Daggers will be keen to make amends at Halifax Town

Daggers suffered heavy defeat at home to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday in the National League

Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Charlee Adams says the trip to Halifax Town in the National League offers the squad a chance to rebound quickly after a heavy loss on Saturday.

The Essex club suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to promotion hopefuls Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.

It was the heaviest loss of the season so far for Daggers, but Adams says the team will head to the Shaymen looking to put things right.

“Anyone knows that if you have a loss on a Saturday, you want a Tuesday game to follow (to get the result out of your system),” said the former Birmingham City man.

“Hopefully we can go to Halifax and get three points.”

The trip to Halifax is a rearranged game for Daggers after the initial game was called off on February 3 because of a waterlogged pitch.

The match was postponed less than an hour before the scheduled kick-off, meaning the Essex club have already been to The Shay once this term.

And having had to make the same 430-mile round-trip again, Adams is desperate to make sure it is not a wasted trip to John Still’s men.

“Hopefully the weather stays away and we can go up there looking to change our fortunes around,” added the 23-year-old.
