Daggers to host young Eagles on Friday, less than three weeks after the sides last met

Dagenham & Redbridge will host Crystal Palace under-23s in another friendly on Friday.

Daggers were due to host Boreham Wood in the National League this weekend, but that game will now take place on January 9 after Luke Garrard’s men made it through to the second round of the FA Cup.

Facing the prospect of a blank weekend, the Essex club have decided to fill the void by welcoming the young Eagles.

It is the second time this term the Daggers have hosted Palace to avoid the prospect of a free weekend, having done so earlier this month, with the match ending 3-3.

Manager John Still is likely to use the friendly, as well as next Wednesday’s Essex Senior Cup tie at Grays Athletic, as an opportunity to hand certain members of his squad much needed minutes.

Kick off for Friday’s game is at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £3 for adults, while children and concessions go free.
