Tim Lovett nets a hat-trick as Under-15s advance.

Chigwell School’s under-15 football team made it through to the second round of the Independent Schools FA National Cup after they defeated The Harrodian School 5-0 last week.

Tim Lovett went home with the match ball after scoring a hat-trick, while Max Salador and Matthew Rutherford also weighed in with a goal each.

The reward for the comfortable victory is a tie against Whitgift School.

Meanwhile, the under-13s will play Trinity School, Croydon, on October 18.

The first team were set to face a tough test against Westminster School yesterday (Wednesday), while the success continued for the school with the under-11 football team winning the recent Forest Sixes Tournament.
