Ilford & District Church League round-up.

On a Saturday notable for headed goals, two fine examples came from Bridge Park’s Pete McLean which topped and tailed his team’s 3-1 win over CRC in Division One of the Ilford & District League.

CRC were inspired and fought back from an early goal, to equalise soon after the restart.

However, Bridge Park’s pressure showed soon after with Ben Hawes scoring with a cracking shot from the edge of the box, which was laid off by Park’s McLean. Both teams had further opportunities and the result was still in doubt until McLean’s late nodded effort.
