Frew: We’ve certainly picked up

Barkingside boss Matt Frew is very happy with his team’s Essex Senior League form of late.

‘Side have chalked up successive 2-0 wins over the past few days, extending their winning streak to four matches and lifting them to fourth in the table.

Goals from Brian Suchley and Joe Ellul saw them to a 2-0 success at Stanstead on Saturday.

And last night’s home win over Bethnal Green was secured after strikes either side of half-time.

Gabriel Onireti broke the deadlock in the 41st minute and Ellul doubled Side’s advantage a minute after the restart.

Frew said: “We’ve certainly picked up over the last few games and I’m very pleased.

“All the boys have been working very hard at training and in the last two games we’ve had two very good results.

“Everybody has pulled together and put in a good shift to help us get those results.”

Frew’s men welcome London Bari to Oakside on Saturday, when the club will allow three adults entry for a combined cost of just £10, a saving of £8.

Barkingside are also on the look out for a physio and anyone interested should contact chairman Jimmy Flanagan on 07956 894194.
