Barkingside assistant manager Ray Bartlett is confident of a result but is expecting a tough task against Sporting Bengal United this weekend.

Side are set to welcome Imrul Gazi’s men to Cricklefield Stadium on Saturday (3pm) and will be hoping to bounce back after losing 2-0 to Basildon United last weekend.

“Sporting Bengal will be another tough match, both sides are probably looking at the games thinking they can take three points, but if the Barkingside that won 7-1 at Hackney Wick turns up, there’s not many teams that can beat us,” said Bartlett.

“I think this is a good game to get us back to winning ways. We may not be getting the results we’ve wanted lately but I feel the team is getting better each week.

“Making little tweaks to the squad, tactically and with the bodies coming in, we just need things to spark to get this fire going. It’s important we start putting a string of wins together to push us away from the bottom.”

Most games will be in doubt, though, given heavy snowfall.
