Football fans are being warned not to go to Dagenham and Redbridge’s FA Cup match this weekend if they do not have tickets.

Police are advising those without tickets not to travel to the club’s 3rd round game against Millwall, which takes place tomorrow at Dagenham and Redbridge’s ground in Victoria Road, Dagenham.

More than 4,000 fans are expected to attend the game, which kicks off at 1pm. The match is an all-ticketed event, and no tickets will be available at the ground on the day.

Metropolitan Police Service police match commander Julia Pendry said: “Please do not come into the immediate area around the ground if you do not have a ticket.

“The majority of licensed premises will be closed. We would advise against supporters travelling into the area with the intention of watching the game in a nearby pub or bar.

“An appropriate policing operation is in place on the day of the game.”

All of Millwall’s 1,200 ticket allowance has been sold.

Home fans will only be able to get into the ground via entrances on Victoria Road and Bury Road (terrace only). There will be a fence erected at the rear of the car park preventing access to the home turnstiles from Pondfield Road.
