Netball: Essex Open C celebrate second successive promotion

Essex Open C were celebrating a second successive promotion after the Essex Met League revealed final tables for 2019/20.
With no further matches able to be played due to the coronavirus pandemic, all promotion and relegation issues have been decided using average points per game.

And that saw the C team finish as champions of Division Three, having been two points clear of Foxes when league play was suspended last month.
The A team finished as Premier Division runners-up, while the B team were a creditable fifth, but the E team just missed out on promotion after finishing third in Division Six.
It was a difficult season for the lower sides with the D, F and G teams being relegated from Divisions Four, Seven and Nine respectively.
The Premiership squad should have been competing in their play-offs in Hull at the weekend, but England Netball still hope to complete the season and these have been rescheduled for August 8-9.
