The latest news from the Ilford Social Centre Darts League

Cruisers edged out Lainy’s Mob 5-4 in a thrilling final to claim the Ilford Social Centre League Challenge Cup.

The final comprised of three pairs matches and six singles games, with a point awarded for each triumph.

In a very close game, the final went down to the wire, with the fixture tied at 4-4 heading into the last game.

In a tight tie that saw a host of tons thrown, Dave Chapman of Cruisers beat Lainy’s Mob rival John Price to get the overall win for his team.

The final of the plate competition also saw a tight game, with Beehive Arrows defeating Barkingside Royals 5-4.

That game also went down to the final tie, with Richie Stringer beating Ted Rowhold to secure the trophy for his team.

Both Cruisers and Beehive Arrows will have plenty to celebrate after their respective cup triumphs.

Lainy’s Mob and Barkingside Royals, though, will be keen to rebound swiftly.
