Hainault, Wells and Fives on top
Hainault & Clayhall claimed a good win over Essex League Division One rivals Harlow, as Woodford Wells beat Hadleigh.
And Fives & Heronians maintained their promotion push in Division Two with victory over Leigh to complete a good day for local clubs.
Irfan Shah hit three sixes and six fours in his 79 off 74 balls as Hainault made 273-8 against Harlow.
Hassan Shafiq (44) and Yasin Patel (34) also contributed, before Bilal Makodia and Adeel Malik (2-40) reduced Harlow to 58-4.
Ryan Hurst (2-32) and Etinder Bopara (2-11) also bagged braces as Harlow were dismissed for 197 and Hainault moved six points clear of the drop zone.
Former Essex staffer Maurice Chambers (4-31) was the pick of the Wells attack as they dismissed Hadleigh for 228.
Gareth James (3-44) and Peter McDermott (2-33) also had success with the ball, before half-centuries from Alex Sharp (63) and Brenton Thompson (60) set Wells on their way to a six-wicket success with 11 overs remaining.
Selvam Ramasamy (5-28) proved the pick of the Fives attack as they skittled Leigh for 182.
Sarfaraz Ahmed (3-24) produced a fine 10-over spell of his own, before Pete Kilpatrick (80), Gamindu Kanishka (44 not out) and Gary Edwards (42 not out) combined with the bat to seal an eight-wicket triumph that keeps Fives nine points clear at the top.
