Azam blasts quick ton in rout
Oakfield Parkonians remain top of Essex League Division Three at the halfway point of the season after a crushing win at Epping.
Captain Jibran Azam chose to bat first after winning the toss, but saw Faisal Bhatti fall without scoring.
It was a momentary blip for the visitors as Sachin Vara hit 54 off 57 balls, including a six and eight fours, and Haris Khan added 64 off 95, with a six and 10 fours.
Rana Muhammed Arslan kept the scoreboard ticking over with 85 off just 70 balls, hitting two sixes and 10 fours, while Azam topped the lot with a brutal 104 off 55 deliveries.
Azam smashed three sixes and 14 fours to inspire his side to the heady heights of 360-8, which proved well beyond the home side.

Southendian maintained their hopes with a nine-wicket success at Woodford Green.
Hamza Hussain fell three runs short of a half-century for the home side after hitting two sixes and six fours, but only Amrit Ryatt (29) and Jack Cossey (20) reached 20 as they were dismissed for 174.
Max Craddock hit an unbeaten 108 off 85 balls in reply for the visitors as they reached their target in just 27 overs.
