Oakfield Parkonians took over at the top of the Shepherd Neame Essex League Division Two table following a six-wicket win at Harlow.

Overseas star Ravi Teja Dwaraka (4-20) was the pick of their bowling attack as the home side reached 234-8 from their 50 overs.

Selvam Ramasamy (2-65), Abdul Razzaq and Aman Ali took the other wickets to fall, but Parks lost Vikram Handa and Ubaid Ur Rehman Kiani without scoring in reply.

Dhruv Patel held firm and shared a notable stand with Dwaraka, who hit two sixes and 11 fours in his 87 off 85 balls.

Patel added two sixes and 19 fours on his way to a stunning 114 off just 99 deliveries, before falling with the finish line in sight.

Paran Kalley and Ali completed the task in the 33rd over as Parks leapfrogged Loughton at the top of the standings to lead by five points at the midway mark.

Loughton were toppled after falling to a five-wicket home defeat against Horndon at the Uplands.

The home side were dismissed for 199 in the 45th over and Horndon timed their chase well to reach their target with five overs to spare in reply.
