Hainault & Clayhall claimed a six-wicket win over Hutton in Essex League Division Two to make it three in a row this season.

Visiting skipper Dan Hagger chose to bat after winning the toss, but openers Alex Tredgett and Mitchell Fenn managed just one run between them as Arshad Mughal and Matthew Worsnop struck with the new ball.

Hagger (25) put on 69 with Vivian Paver, who added another 55 with Chris Steinberg (26) for the sixth wicket, as Sam Shirzay and Mughal (2-44) had more success with the ball for the hosts.

Australian Paver eventually fell to Hainault captain Zoheb Sharif (2-19) for 87, before double-figure scores from tailenders Jonathan Mowll (21), Joseph Parry (19 not out) and Tom Patterson lifted Hutton to 214-9 at the end of their 50 overs.

Sharif put on 98 for the first Hainault wicket with Irfan Shah (29), but Mo Ismail fell cheaply soon after.

Hainault were 104-3 when Sharif departed for 59, but Worsnap (60 not out) and Ryan Hurst (33 not out) saw them to their target with an unbroken 70-run stand.

Mowll, Paver and Danny Cocklin claimed wickets for Hutton, but they could not deny Hainault victory in the 39th over of their run chase.
