Park captain Jamal Francis put the home side into bat and struck three early blows with the new ball to reduce them to 17-3.

Omar Akram steadied the ship with Zoheb Sharif, before also falling to Francis with the score on 59.

But Hainault lost Sharif, run out for 36, and Maruf Chowdhury to Francis (5-40) in quick succession to find themselves 95-6.

Aditya Kumar and Sam Hewitt (2-35) got in on the act for Park, with Francis producing a run out before Hainault were dismissed for 123 in the 41st over.

But Hainault hit back with the ball as Chowdhury dismissed Callum Mitcham for a third ball duck, before George Rogers, Francis and Hewitt all fell to Chowdhury with the total on 26.

Sagar Joshi dismissed James Pegram (28) to leave Park 50-5, then added the scalps of Sam O’Sullivan and Harry Phillips in the space of three balls to make it 59-7.

Chowdhury completed a 5-40 haul to send Michael Pegram packing, before Muhammad Rahim ended Matt Tarr’s resistance on 23 to leave Park 86-9 and on the brink.

Ryan Hurst trapped Kumar lbw to complete a crucial 31-run win for Hainault and boost their survival hopes, while plunging Park into trouble with only two games remaining.
