Oakfield Parkonians earned a comfortable seven-wicket win over Essex League Division Two rivals Loughton at The Uplands.

Having lost the toss, they saw Umar Choudhry (48) and Bilaal Anwar (52) put on 108 for the first Loughton wicket.

But Jibran Azam (3-29) ended the partnership and struck twice more along with Aman Ali as the home side fell to 132-5.

Rohail Anwar (23) and Niketh Shetty (25) put on 50 for the sixth wicket, but Selvam Ramasamy then ran through the lower order to take 5-20 as Loughton were dismissed for 190.

Shane Vamadevan (18) and Neil Brathwaite (29) put on 46 in reply, before both fell to Bilal Butt (2-25).

And Paran Kalley (21) then shared 68 with Azam, who hit two sixes and 10 fours in his unbeaten 78 from 66 balls.

Azam had support from Ramya Upadhyay (29 not out) in an unbroken 59-run stand as Parkonians reached their target in the 36th over to move away from the relegation places to sixth.
