Hainault & Clayhall replaced Hutton at the top of the Essex League Division Two table with an 88-run victory at Old Brentwoods.

Put into bat, they saw captain Zoheb Sharif make 28 as they slipped to 75-4.

Omar Akram and Ryan Hurst both fell with the total on 105, but Etinder Bopara gave Matthew Worsnop support in the middle order.

Worsnop hit six fours in his 48 from 47 balls and had late support from Rameez Rehman as Hainault reached 192 in the 47th over.

Khalid Sarwar (4-28) and Baber Choudhary (4-41) took the bowling honours for the hosts, who collapsed to 32-5.

Imran Hussain was run out cheaply, before Arshad Mughal ran through the rest of the top order to finish with figures of 10-2-16-4.

Shahzad Khan, Nazim Hussain and Shahid Iqbal all reached double figures, but Mo Amin (22) top scored as Brentwoods were dismissed for 104 in the 38th over.

Worsnop (3-36) and Sharif (2-6) also had success for Hainault in their triumph.
