Fives & Heronians were well beaten by Wickford in their Essex League Division Two encounter.
The visitors chose to bat first at The Paddock, but Ali Raza struck twice with the new ball and Jonny Kay also had success to reduce them to 17-3.
James Newton held firm for Wickford after that, hitting a six and 12 fours in his 77 from 66 balls to take them to 143-7.
And Connor Etchells had late support to finish unbeaten on 36 as Wickford closed on 202-9.
Raza (3-25) and Fahad Iqbal (3-32) had most success for Fives, with captain Jake Poulter (2-36) nabbing a brace, but Pete Kilpatrick fell for a third-ball duck in reply and Iqbal followed next ball.
Poulter also failed to trouble the scorers as the hosts slipped to 21-3, with Terry Ballard next to go after hitting 40 from 23 balls, with a six and seven fours.
Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, with Jonny Kay (23) the last man out as Fives were eventually dismissed for a modest 114 in 28 overs.
