South Wooodford claimed a comfortable win over Leigh in their latest Shepherd Neame Essex League Division Two outing.

Joe Craddock inserted the home team at Chalkwell Park after winning the toss and saw Saihaj Jaspal strike with the new ball.

Viraj Khagram was next to have success, before Jamal Richards claimed two wickets in quick succession to leave the hosts 95-4.

Jake McMUllen (2-25) bagged a brace in a tight 10-over spell, with Jonty Burah (2-44) and Richards (4-50) sharing the remaining four wickets to fall as Leigh were dismissed for 207 in the 46th over.

Henry Blackwell (35) put on 56 with Craddock (35), who fell with the total on 92.

Michael Browne (23) was the third victim of Joe Sexton, but Harry Neicho and Jaspal then put on 64 for the fourth wicket to take the visitors to the brink.

Neicho fell for 58, having hit a six and six fours in his 79-ball innings, with Jaspal unbeaten on 30 as Woodford secured a six-wicket win in the 44th over.
