Oakfield Parkonians saw their fine run of form in Shepherd Neame Essex League Division Two brought to an end by local rivals Loughton, who took over at the top of the table as a result.

Captain Dave Rai chose to bat first after winning the toss, but Abdul Nasir and Vithullan Sapaetharan wiped out the top order for single-figure scores.

Former IPL star Ravi Teja Dwaraka was dismissed for just eight runs, one of the victims of Nasir (3-20), before Bilal Butt (2-35) got in on the act for the visitors.

Aman Ali (30), Eshun Kalley (22) and Selvam Ramasamy (36) were the only Parks batsmen to reach double figures as they were eventually dismissed for 147 in 37 overs.

Sapaetharan finished with 3-22 for Loughton, who lost Bilaal Anwar cheaply to Ramasamy in reply.

Anujan Thiru claimed the scalp of opener Hamzah Wajid, with Dwaraka (2-27) dismissing Vibhor Yadav and Sapaetharan (22).

But Umar Choudhry held firm for the visitors and had support from Butt, finishing unbeaten on 65 as Loughton completd a six-wicket win in the 33rd over.

Defeat saw Parks slip from first to third, 13 points behind the new leaders.
