Essex opener Nick Browne helped South Woodford to a much-needed five-wicket win over Harlow in Essex League Division One.
Left-hander Browne hit a six and 13 fours in his 89 from 79 balls, putting on 142 with Kasey Harris to lay the foundations for a successful run chase.
The hosts chose to bat first but Harry Shirt struck early with the new ball and Saihaj Jaspal also had success to make it 50-2.
Home skipper Hafiz Yawar Afzal held firm to share half-century stands with Ahmed Khawaja and Ubaid Ur Rehman Kiani on his way to 103 as Harlow reached 244, with Bradley Copper (3-39), Haider Ali Syed Zaidi (2-43) and Shirt (2-51) sharing wickets.
Joe Craddock fell to a fourth-ball duck in reply, but Browne and Harris (77) got the visitors on track, with Copper hitting a six and six fours in his unbeaten 47 from 55 balls to seal a win that lifts them off the bottom of the table.
