Gator ABC enjoyed a highly successful weekend at the National Schoolboy Championships semi-finals in Feltham.

Kaizer Syed booked his place in the final with a controlled performance in beating Tom Cotterell, representing Cheshunt, on Saturday.

The following day, Marcus Bassi Jr. dominated his contest against a rival from Dale Youth.

Bassi displayed some superb footwork and lightning quick combinations to see him through to next week’s finals.

A third Gator boxer to impress was Amaaan Mohammed who overpowered his opponent, Patrick Hanrahan of Rangers.

Of the Gator ABC entries in the semi-finals, only Taran Singh suffered the pain of elimination.

It means Gator ABC have six fighters in action at the finals of the Championships next weekend.

Both Chris O’Driscoll and Harrison Vickery received byes in the semi-finals, having won in the quarter-finals last month.

Bobby Newman, a champion in his division last year, is also through to the finals having received byes in the past two rounds.
