Redbridge booked their place in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy with victory at Witham Town on Saturday.

And local rivals Barkingside and Frenford joined Woodford Town in the first round of the FA Vase with victories of their own.

Motormen had drawn 1-1 with Witham on the opening day of the Isthmian North season and took a 13th-minute lead on their return to Spa Road through Ronnie Winn.

The home side were back on terms seven minutes before half-time as Ronnie Bates struck, but Henry Day restored the Redbridge advantage just five minutes into the second half.

Anton Matthews squared matters for a second time on 72 minutes and the tie looked set to finish in a draw, when Soumen Nandi cut in from the left and fired into the far corner to claim a superb 90th-minute winner for George Christou's men.

Barkingside claimed an upset over Hadleigh United in their FA Vase tie at Cricklefields.

The Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division visitors took a sixth-minute lead thanks to Tom Warren's header, but Josh Devlin levelled for Barkingside on 54 minutes.

The Thurlow Nunn Division One South hosts went in front on 72 minutes then added a third when a penalty was saved by the rebound converted.

George Bugg gave Hadleigh hope with a late second, but James Wakeling's men sealed a 4-2 victory in the sixth minute of injury time.

Frederick Agyemang finished with a brace for Barkingside, as Jack Williams also netted.

Substitute Sam Ince put Frenford in front at Brantham Athletic on the stroke of half time, having replaced the injured Fabio Nunes earlier in the first half.

And Ince struck again just before the hour mark to make it 2-0 for the Essex Senior League outfit, who saw their hosts grab a consolation in the second minute of stoppage time.
