Police issue appeal following assault outside Gants Hill pizza shop

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a pizza shop on Monday.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service to Perth Road, Gants Hill, at 12.28am, after the man in his 40s was found suffering with head injuries.

The man was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a “critical but stable” condition.

Detectives want to speak to two males in connection with the incident.

One is described as either Asian or mixed race, about 16 years old, 5ft 6ins tall, with short black curly hair, and is believed to have been wearing a black coat.

The other male is believed to be black, about 16 years old, 5ft 10ins tall, with black plaited/braided hair, and is believed to have been wearing a grey Adidas hooded top.
