For those wanting to make the most of the Easter holidays, lots can be found to do around the borough.

Just jump off the sofa, grab your keys and head out to some of the events found here in the Recorder’s guide to what’s on and where from today (Thursday) to enjoy the Easter holiday activities on offer.

Thursday

Redbridge Cycling Centre, Forest Road, Hainault, 10am to 1pm

Children aged five to 10 can develop their riding know-how at the Novice Go-Ride Skills. Sessions cost £10 and bike hire is £5. Pre booking is essential – call 020 8500 9359.

Hainault Forest Country Park, Romford Road, Hainault, 11am to 4pm

Enjoy a donkey ride at Foxburrows Farm at £3 per ride, no advance booking is required.

RedbridgeCVS, 5th Floor Forest House, Clements Road, Ilford, 2pm to 4pm

Fancy yourself a holiday hero? Open to anyone over the age of 14, Volunteer Centre Redbridge has teamed up with the London Ambulance Service to offer basic emergency life support skills training sessions. Classes are free and all participants will receive an attendance certificate. Register for a place online at bit.ly/holidayheroes16

Friday

Melbourne Field, Valentines Park, Cranbrook Road, Ilford Visit the funfair, which runs until Sunday, April 12. For prices and times see park notices.

Redbridge Cycling Centre, Forest Road, Hainault, 10am to 1pm

Youngsters aged eight to 16 can take part in an Introduction to Road Racing course. Between 1pm and 4pm an Introduction to BMX session is also on. See Thursday for booking details and bike hire costs.

Monday

Beal High School, Woodford Bridge Road, Redbridge, 10am to 3pm

For £10 per day, five to 16-year-olds can turn up to pay and play at Beal’s Easter Soccer School running Monday to Thursday.

Mountain Biking Follow Up is on at the centre between 10am and 1pm. See Friday for booking details.

Tuesday

Redbridge Cycling Centre, Forest Road, Hainault, 10am to 1pm

A second Introduction to BMX session and Novice Go-Ride Skills. See Thursday for booking details.

Fairlop Waters, Forest Road, Barkingside, 10am to 2pm

Young Rory McIlroy wannabes aged eight to 16 can take part in the Junior Golf Camp running daily Tuesday to Thursday.

Wednesday

Friday
