A talk by the president of a charity which has saved the lives of thousands of children from developing countries was held at a synagogue in Woodford.
Hannah Shabathai, from Save a Child’s Heart Charity, spoke about the work of the charity which is Israel’s largest international humanitarian organisation.
She visited Woodford Liberal Synagogue in Marlborough Road, South Woodford on Tuesday of last week.
The charity helps children with heart problems regardless of their race, gender or nationality.
The team of 70 voluntary surgeons is made up of people from all religions and work at the Wolfson Hospital in Tel Aviv.
Since 1996, the charity has saved the lives of 3,248 children and trained surgeons from numerous other countries.
