Pupils honoured their mothers at a Woodford Green school where they sang to their mums before enjoying a special afternoon tea with them.
Mother’s Day came early when children at Avon House Preparatory School, High Road, invited their mums to enjoy scones, cup cakes and tea on Friday.
Headteacher, Amanda Campbell, said: “Our mums are so important it is worth celebrating all they do for us. The children sang songs expressing how much their mum means to them. This was accompanied by signing from our youngest children in Early Years.
“After the singing, all our mums were served a cream tea before leaving school with a special card made by their child. It was a truly special moment and one I hope all our mums will remember.”
