Tariq William-Dawodu, 17, of Love Lane, Woodford Green, was one of four teenagers found guilty of killing Hackney teen Jeremie Malenge.

The anonymity of William-Dawodu was previously protected due to a legal duty not to name offenders under 18, but this was lifted due to exceptional circumstances.

He will spend 18-and-a-half years behind bars after receiving the juvenile equivalent of a life sentence to detention at the Old Bailey on Friday.

His accomplices also received jail terms for their part in the murder of Jeremie, who was 17 years old when he was stabbed to death in Hackney on January 6 this year.

Sanaa Sayed Ibrahim, 18, of Homerton Road, Hackney, was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment, Tre Morgan, 18, of Lyham Road, Clapham, was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment and a 14-year-old boy from Hackney, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.

William-Dawodu was also found guilty of wounding with intent.
