A charity gala raised more than £20,000 to help terminally ill children, in memory of a mother’s lost daughter.
Hayley Mednick died aged 31 in July last year, and her mother Adele wanted to remember her by fundraising for the Hopes and Dreams.
Adele, of Horace Road, Barkingside, said: “The charity helped a family friend 25 years ago, with her six-year-old daughter, and my own daughter loved children, so it seemed fitting.”
The gala, at the Prince Regent Hotel, Manor Road, Woodford Green, last week, was a great success with more than £20,000 raised to help critical and terminally ill children.
Chairwoman Ruth Salahi said: “It was an amazing night.”
